Last call: Apply to the UNICEF NETI Programme now!

I have written about the UNICEF NETI Programme before:

The New and Emerging Talent Initiative (NETI)is an entry point for professionals interested in an international career with UNICEF. As part of UNICEF’s global talent management strategy the NETI Programme focuses on attracting, selecting, developing and retaining new talent.

This is a reminder that the deadline of September 17th is approaching fast so you should get your application in now, if you want to be part of the NETI pool.

More about the programme is on the NETI site of UNICEF. Good luck!

Troubleshooting Email Alerts

Today is a great day since the UN Job List just cracked the 25.000 email alerts threshold. This proves that a growing number of people enjoy getting new jobs into their inbox. However, a number of people seem to face issues with their alerts.

How can I make sure I reliably get the UN Job List email alert?

First, make sure your email provider receives the UN Job List well: When you sign-up to the alert, you will get a confirmation email. Make sure you click the link in the email and add the email address to your “safe sender” list.

Second, don’t use your work email if your employer does not like you to use it for the UN Job List. I know of a number of governments / military / private sector organisations that filter job search related emails.

Third, please make sure you sign-out of the UN Job List if you don’t use it any longer. If you have problems, please let me know. I really want to make sure the alert is not considered SPAM and if you face any issue I will help you. So please help me and others but using the sign-out link. Thanks!
