    Hi all,

Thank you, Sebastian, for setting this forum up for fellow UN job applicants to come together. I have spent the past two years applying for what feels like thousands of UN jobs. I have managed to get shortlisted and interviewed maybe 6 times during that period. I have volunteered for over two years straight with several parts of the organisation in an attempt to get a foot in the door, and still, I am struggling to understand where I am going so wrong with my applications.

My question to the others is; what did it take for you to get in? If you are still attempting how long have you been at it? What have you found to be so difficult? It would be nice to hear other people’s stories so I don’t feel so isolated in this process!

    Hi Pruk,

I know the process can be really long. However, there are stories of success out there (see the other posts in this forum).

But it can be a long and laborious process…
