First of all, thank you very much Sebastian for your great site! It is so good to have a friendly place to visit while waiting to receive feedback about our application processes with the UN. I would like to open this topic to discuss written assessments for specific professional positions (not for national examinations). I have taken a “substantial” written assessment for a UN Secretariat P 3 around 5 weeks ago. This is my first time with substantial tests. The test included multiple choice and in-depth/open ended questions. Does any one know how long it can take to receive any kind of feedback about the test? I have contacted the HR manager and she told me to keep monitoring the Inspira website. I thougth substantial tests submitted scores directly by email to the candidates. Any tips about what should I expect? Many thanks!
Hey bibi,
I applied for 6 positions in the field category in December 2017. I was invited to write assessment exams for 4 positions in January and Feb this year. After monitoring in the Inspira I discovered two positions were filled in April. The remaining two position are yet to be filled. The Inspira reads Under consideration. I have waited for 5 months. The only thing I can tell you, patience here is virtue.
Thank you very much for your reply. Your score is very good! (4 invitations for written assessments out of 6 applications! WoW! It is sad to learn, however, that the UN does not make the effort to communicate the results in a more “personalized” way. Good luck with the other two results! Let us share news as we receive them, ok? Any other tips about written assessments and how long we should wait for getting results?
