The Little Peacekeeper is back home for a brief period and while he enjoys the summer in New York he slips into his bluecubered T-shirt (see http://www.bluecubered.com/the-cube/) and takes a walk through the East Village.

Social inclusion and the hydroelectronic power plant
Thank you Stewi! You must be an insider since you got the story right again! Yes, the Little Peacekeeper is visiting a hydroelectric power plant. This UNDP project is making sure that the power plant is taken care off by training the local community on how to maintain it. Have a look at the pictures to meet some of the local experts working in this project!
A nice place far away
In Rasht Valley, Tajikistan
The Little Peacekeeper is indeed in Rasht Valley in Tajikistan. Both Christoph and Stewi were absolutely right and the Little Peacekeeper is very impressed you found out where he is. On the picture, you can see him with the board describing the UNDP project he is visiting and you can also observe him sit on a piece of project equipment. Do you have any idea what the project could be about?
The next mission – where is he now?
New Jobs now also on Facebook
UN Job List users were telling me that they would prefer to have new jobs directly in Facebook, too. So I started to integrate the listing of new UN jobs into the UN Job List Facebook page. Have a look at the site and let me know what you think: http://unjl.org/fbapp
Thanks! Sebastian

Honoring those who serve
Today, May 29th, marks the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers. And the Little Peacekeeper is honoring those who serve. On the picture you can see the Little Peacekeeper in the lobby of the UN building standing in silence, remembering those who have fallen in the cause of peace. The official UN Peacekeeping website has more information about the international day of the Peacekeeper: http://www.un.org/en/peacekeeping/operations/pkday.shtml
The Little Peacekeeper on the Viking 11 Exercise
The Little Peacekeeper has been taken along by a good friend onto the Viking 11 Exercise. To learn about the Exercise, have a look here: http://unjl.org/viking11.
A principal objective of Viking 11 was to provide the opportunity to acquire hands-on practical skills and knowledge of civil-military-police coordination and cooperation during a multifunctional and multinational UN mandated Peace Operations. The Little Peacekeeper met many very interesting friends and colleagues in the exercise. On the pictures you can see the Little Peacekeeper with the UNAMIB Military Liaison Officers and the DSRSG/RC/HC.
