Dear Sebastian, I have some question regarding the selection process. I had a P3 position with one of the UN agencies as I was recruited locally (I had previous experience on that duty station from earlier consultancies for the UN). I have sent a few applications to specific positions in the field on another duty station, but it has happened to me on several occasions that I see the ‘filled from roster’ announcement next to my application. I ignore the process in order to be included in the roster for that specific positions, as I cannot recall a roster process being announced previously for those agencies (one of then was UNCTAD, the other UNOCHA). I have checked the UN recruitment manual , but it is not very clear to me on that aspect. Thanks.
