I read from your other posts about your UNICEF job interview and process, Did they get back to you? I know you were waiting for an offer. I completely agree this waiting period is terrible and it is obnoxiously long. I do read from Glass door, some people get hired in a few days and don’t go through this long wait. Is it only for certain positions or all positions go through this long wait.
Great! I wonder how their recruitment process is, but after my competency interview (round 2)on May 04 they said they would get back ASAP on May07. I haven’t heard back. I have read they have some post interview processing. I can’t even guage the pace of this process.Not sure if we can even follow up because I don’t want to make it look like I am desperate. I really hope all works out for you. And do keep posting your updates.
Thanks Sns, how long after the interview, did they contact your references. Did they ask you before checking. I haven’t informed my current supervisor, I need to give a heads up if that’s the case. Did you have any room for salary negotiation.

I had applied for a position in UNICEF, HQ in ICT department in the month of Nov 2017, I was called for a 1st round of interview on Apr 24 2018, and then a competency based interview on May 04, 2018. On May 07, 2018 the HR replied to me saying that will get back to me ASAP on further information on this recruitment. Do you know what the next steps are? I don’t want to send out emails at this point. But I am anxious. The recruitment process is very long and needs a lot of patience! Can you let me know your experiences.

I applied for a P3 position in ICT division of UNICEF, I had my first round of interview and heard back from the HR for a second and last interview tomorrow. The first interview was with Section chief and 2 HR personnel. What can I expect in the second and last interview? I had applied for this position in Nov 2017 and I heard back in Apr 2018. I know the process is quiet long. Any insights to my situation. Thank you for your wonderful service.
