Hi
I got a SONRU interview several months ago for another organisation. I believe that this is the first step of the recruitment process for some organisations: if you are successful, you can move on the next stage, written test and/or panel interview. The questions you are about to answer are based on your knowledge of organisation, the role you have applied for and some generic questions. The whole process should take no longer than 30 minutes to finish, which includes checking your setup, doing some practice questions and completing the interview.
This new approach could be a change of recruitment policy.Hi there,
I have found the answer here “it can take quite a while to be chosen from the roster”
Cheers!Hi there,
What does it mean “you are being placed on a roster of pre-approved candidates for potential consideration for future United Nations Secretariat job openings with similar functions at the same level”. What are next steps?

I have been invited to complete an online video interview through Sonru. What should I expect. Any advice for someone trying to get in an intergovernmental organisation? Many thanks
Hi all,
For me, the selection process for the job position I have applied has been completed. The application was not successful. From now onwards I will do what they told me to do, “keep applying for more jobs”.Good luck!
Thank you biperez very much for your interesting and insightful points. I wish you patience and good luck in your attempt.
Hi,
The test took place between 14 October 2017 and 16 October 2017.
The results came after two weeks, on 27th of October.
After that… I really don’t now what will happen.
Good luck!- This reply was modified 6 years, 5 months ago by Gerula.
Hi there!
I express also my gratitude for this great work you have done here.On late October I was successful in passing the Standard Pre-Selection Test (SPT), for a Job Opening in UN Secretariat. At the beginning, on the UN Human Resources web page, the job I have applied was listed for a substantive test (date to be announced) among other job openings. Recently, was removed from the list.
According with that, what is your opinion? There will not be anymore a substantive test or, I was found not suitable for the next stage of recruitment process?Thank you for your guidance and support.
