Good thing you guys are sharing these. It really often is a long and complicated process.

    Oh, that’s a pity 🙁

Good luck for the next time!

Which organisation would that assessment be for? Functional assessment (as opposed to competency based assessment sounds like technical tests / substantive tests) to me?

    Wow – that’s strange. A personal phone number? That’s unusual…

I really like the little Caffee in the ESCAP building – the staff is very friendly, the coffee is great and I like the snacks & food in the happy hour on Friday afternoons.

I’m not sure I can confirm this experience. But of course the problem is always budget availability. Where were these posts?

I have heard many nice things about Copenhagen – quick question: is this a good duty station for families? Can you find your way around with just English or do you need to know Danish?

There are so many events and locations in NY – it is very hard to give just “one” tip. But finding housing can be hard. Craigslist is an obvious starting point but you need to be careful with all the scams on there. I find that the UN intranet / UN housing desk is a good place to find some space.

You can always start on AriBnB to find a spot for the first couple of days.

That test should be about the actual job you will be doing. I have also complete a psychometric test once but that was only one time.

Sometimes the jump works if you go via a different contract type. But I understand you tried that already?

Is there any updated material on competency based interviewing out there? I heard that some organisations have competency frameworks. Does anybody know who has these frameworks?
